If you are in or around the Lancashire area and suffering from back pain, nerve pain, sciatica or sports injuries, then there’s a good chance that a Backprakt neurophysiologist can assist you. Dr Logan helps patients suffering from trapped nerves, RSI, aches and stiffness, shoulder and neck pain, muscle pain, lower back pain, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, migraine, sciatica and all types of sports injuries. In addition to this, Dr Logan can also assist clients suffering from Parkinson’s, tremors and similar neuromuscular conditions.
To separate himself from his competitors, Dr Logan does not rely purely upon pharmaceuticals. Instead, he uses holistic therapies, spinal and joint manipulation, rehabilitation exercises, functional movement analysis, ultrasound treatment and nutritional plans to help provide long-term relief to patients.
None of the above; he is a neurophysiologist specialising in neuromuscular conditions, gait, flexibility and pain relief. He aims to promote healthy lifestyles and help patients get a handle on their particular problem.
While some conditions can be remedied once and for all, others are trickier. Educating patients around the Lancashire area on how to live with their condition, avoiding inflaming or aggravating it and gradually improving it is a big part of Dr Logan’s focus.
No, his approach is unique and incorporates neurology. Many patients find relief and remedy that they have previously been unable to find with traditional physiotherapy or a chiropractor through the therapies Dr Logan provides.
Dr Jim Logan studied at the University of St Andrews before moving to Ireland to join the NUI Galway’s Medical Faculty, researching new treatments as a neurophysiologist. For more than 30-years, Dr Logan has delivered lectures on physiology, neurosciences, clinical methods, ethics and law to medical students and fellow health practitioners.
In 1976, the London Hospital Medical College appointed him as a teaching staff member. It was here he established the first gait analysis laboratory. He went on to work as a Consultant Physiologist, tasked with delivering his opinion on specific cases and claims to lawyers and major insurance companies.
Back in 1995, Dr Logan was made the Dean of the University of Wolverhampton, leading the development of a post-graduate medical program. He founded Backprakt in 2007, which has proven a massive success and is one of Lancashire’s leading therapeutic clinics. Backprakt utilises orthopaedic testing, neurology, physiological assessment, medical imaging and gait analysis to assist patients in need of pain relief.
